Our two fellow twitterers set out on a journey on a cool, November night, leaving everything behind, sailing into the waters of twitter. While they were on the ship, lying under the stars, the two friends started to talk about the journey. What were they going to do? Where were they heading for? Rahsan took out her mobile and started following the links of her twitter friends while Beyza was reading the articles posted on her blog...
When they started travelling together, they were well aware of the fact that the journey would be a long one, requiring lots of interaction, research and feedback sessions. However, the thought of meeting new people interested in using twitter for educational purposes sounded exciting. With the rocking of the small waves, they fell asleep.
When they woke up, they saw a big passenger ship passing nearby. It was called "The question". 'A strange name for such a ship. The questions that we have to answer... ' said Beyza. 'Efl, esl, call, cmll...what are we going to do?' she asked. 'Do not look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present, you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.' replied Rahsan. Beyza was extremely surprised at this remark. 'Not me. Rainer Maria Rilke. The poet.' said Rahsan. At that moment, they heard a boy shouting from that big passenger ship. 'I'll follow you on Twitter. What's your username?' The response was 'EFL. English For Love'. They stood still for a minute, then they both burst into laughter. People were looking at them strangely. Well, who cared for them since they found the aim of their journey: Twitter for EFL...
"How can twitter be best integrated to EFL contexts?"
